Israel knows where Tehran has moved its enriched material, according to the Jewish state\u2019s prime minister<\/strong><\/p>\n

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed he has \u201cinteresting intel\u201d<\/em> on the location of Iran\u2019s enriched uranium. He made the remark following US airstrikes on Tehran\u2019s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.<\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters during a briefing on Sunday, Netanyahu confirmed that Israel is aware of the location of Iran\u2019s 400 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium, but refused to give further details.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been following that very closely. I can tell you that it\u2019s an important component of a nuclear program. It\u2019s not the sole component. It\u2019s not a sufficient component. But it is an important component and we have interesting intel on that, which you will excuse me if I don\u2019t share with you,\u201d<\/em> he said when asked about the whereabouts of the material.<\/p>\n

He also claimed that Iran\u2019s underground Fordow nuclear site was damaged in a Sunday strike by US bombers, reportedly involving bunker-buster munitions, but noted the extent of the impact remained unclear.<\/p>\n

According to Netanyahu, Israel \u201chad to act\u201d<\/em> following what he described as Tehran\u2019s accelerated push toward nuclear weaponization after the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in September 2024. He also accused Iran of expanding its missile program and planning to produce 300 ballistic missiles per month.<\/p>\n

He added that Israel is now \u201cvery, very close\u201d<\/em> to achieving its objective of eliminating what he called the dual threats posed by Iran\u2019s nuclear and missile capabilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe won\u2019t pursue our actions beyond what is needed to achieve them, but we also won\u2019t finish too soon. When the objectives are achieved, then the operation is complete and the fighting will stop,\u201d<\/em> he told reporters, adding: \u201cIsrael is very close to the goals that we have set in the campaign against Iran.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Iran has repeatedly denied seeking nuclear weapons and maintains that its program is peaceful. Earlier this month, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed that Iran\u2019s enriched uranium reserves were continuing to grow, though the material remains below weapons-grade levels.<\/p>\n

Tehran began increasing its enrichment after the US unilaterally withdrew from the 2015 nuclear deal in 2018 under President Donald Trump.
