The Education.com Summer STEM Challenge starts today, June 20 and will go until July 20!<\/p>\n

Get ready to invent, build, and explore! Our annual STEM Challenge invites children from PreK through 8th grade to dive into hands-on projects that bring science, technology, engineering, and math to life. With fun, interactive activities and real-world problem-solving, it\u2019s the perfect way to spark summer learning.<\/p>\n

This year, three winners<\/strong> will be randomly selected to win a one-year Premium membership<\/strong> and be featured on our social media <\/strong>and in a special email shoutout<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

How to join:\u00a0<\/h2>\n

  1. Visit our Summer STEM Challenge page<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Fill out the entry form<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Choose a hands-on STEM project to work on (see the list below)<\/li>\n
  4. Submit your entry form and a photo of your completed project to stemchallenge@education.com by July 20<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n
  5. Celebrate your hard work: Download a Certificate of Participation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Make a catapult<\/a><\/h3>\n

    Engineer a catapult using simple crafting materials, then launch a small toy to see how far it flies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    Create a cup tower<\/a><\/h3>\n
    \"\"<\/figure>\n

    Get ready to stack and strategize. Build the tallest tower possible using just paper cups.<\/p>\n

    Make a parachute<\/a><\/h3>\n
    \"\"<\/figure>\n

    Test different materials to discover which one creates the best parachute for a small toy.<\/p>\n

    Create a solar oven<\/a><\/h3>\n
    \"\"<\/figure>\n

    Use household items to construct a solar oven that can bake tasty s\u2019mores using just the sun.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    Design a bouncy ball<\/a><\/h3>\n
    \"\"<\/figure>\n

    Explore the design process by experimenting with materials to create a polymer that bounces.<\/p>\n

    Design a roller coaster<\/a><\/h3>\n
    \"\"<\/figure>\n

    Build a marble roller coaster and see energy transformations in action.<\/p>\n
